2. While writing the Chinese homework, please assist your kid(s) to follow the stroke order in this website. You can see the dictionary/translate so you know what the meaning is the words your kid(s) is writing.

- Most students are able to distinguish the difference between goodbye and hello in Chinese and when they should use each.
- Writing Chinese number 1 to 10. (Ours students are so awesome. Many of them are fast writer. See pictures below)

- Read big book: 跷跷板(Seesaw).
- Role play 跷跷板(Seesaw).
- Kung Fu Strokes. (watch videos and practice.)
- Learn "boy and girl" in Chinese.
- Who is absent and who is not absent. (XXX没有来& XXX有来。)
- Vocabulary:喝水(Drink water.), 上厕所(Go to bathroom.)
- Listening game: Teacher says number in Chinese and all students need to write it down in their paper. (See pictures below)
Thursday (09/01):
- Listening activity: Teacher plays a sound clip students need to write the number and Chinese character in small white board.
- Kung Fu Strokes.
- Who is absent and who is not absent. (XXX没有来& XXX有来。)
- Vocabulary:喝水(Drink water.), 上厕所(Go to bathroom.)
- singing: number song, head shoulder knees and toes, hello song, and week song.
Friday (09/02):
- Listening activity: Teacher plays a sound clip students need to use their fingers to show the number to the teacher.
- Kung Fu Strokes.
- Vocabulary:喝水(Drink water.), 上厕所(Go to bathroom.) 开灯(turn on the light.)关灯 (turn off the light.).
- Who is absent and who is not absent. (XXX没有来& XXX有来。)
- Matching activity: each student hold a number (Chinese character & number) and they need to match Chinese character and number then sit down.

Monday (08/29) :
- TOPIC 1 – Understanding Addition (Lesson 1-1: Spatial Patterns for Numbers 1-10)
- Addition practice: students add parts to make a sum and draw dots on their worksheet. (See pictures below.)
- Read &write 1 to 10.
- Math games-racing game & Tank. (compete with teacher)
Tuesday (08/30):
- Lesson: 1-1 Spatial Patterns for Numbers 1-10.
- Students say and write down the numbers while adding parts to make a sum.
- Read &write 1 to 10.
- Math game-racing game & tank.(We use Dancing Pad today.).
Wednesday (08/31):

- Lesson: 1-2 Addition Making 6 & 7.
- Number 6 & 7 can be broken into parts of the whole in different ways.
- New vocabulary "inside & outside".
- Students count how many objects are inside and how many are outside and then add them together.
- We completed "1-2 Addition Making 6 & 7" worksheet today.
Friday (09/02):
- Lesson: 1-3 Making 8.
- Students say and write down the numbers. Students count draw dots on their worksheet. (0&8, 1&7, 2&6, 3&5, 4&4, 5&3, 6&2, 7&1, 8&0.)
- Reinforce numbers 1-10.
- Math game: Addition 1-10. (Learning math by playing. See video below.)

- Today is the first day of regular schedule, which is a long day for students. Our students learned that they will have whole day schedules from now on.
- Reinforce classroom rules.

- Reinforce classroom rules.
- Schedule reinforcement. Students were confused about when they are allowed to go home on the first day. Today, some of them figured out that when the minute hand is on 6 and the hour hand is on 3, they can go home.

- When a student listen to/look at teacher he/she can get a sticker. (Positive reinforcement.)
- When a student interrupt teacher he/she need to give a sticker to teacher. (Negative reinforcement.)
- Most students are a lot more clear on schedules. They know what and when they are suppose to do (lunch, go home, etc.).

- Today, we still have some students keep asking "When can we go home?" We will keep working on school schedule next week.
- Students learn "we do not have school on Saturday and Sunday." 没有来上课。
- Stand up, sit down, line up, look at teacher...
- Students need to follow teacher's order in 10 second. Teacher always count 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
- Teacher take back students' stickers when students are not following teacher's order.
