- We will have a Chinese New Year celebration on Feb. 1st. from 06:00PM to 07:30PM at the Gym. I plan to let our 1st grade students sing Chinese songs we learned from class. There are many activities such as Chinese music performance, Diabolo/Chinese yo-yo (2nd & 3rd grade students will perform Chinese yo-yo), Chinese paper cutting, Calligraphy (New Year’s couplet), Blowing plum flower(Chinese art), Chinese knot & shadow puppets, Paper dragonfly, Using chopsticks to pick up beans, Hook bottles on a string, Catching rocks with can, and snack ( wafer & candy). Please come with your family to celebrate the Chinese New Year with us and have fun.
