- Students wrote Chinese characters 1-10 & big, small, up, and down on a sheet. Differentiation: I tutored two individual students about five minutes and most of our students already wrote whole page. (Practice for test. See picture below. )
- Stroke order practice (up上,down下,big大,小small,五five,九nine,六six,四four.).
- We had a Chinese vocabulary test today. We had 13 students got 100% on red class and 14 students got 100% on the blue class.

- Review addition: we practice different combinations for two numbers to add up to a specific number.
- Reinforce: subtraction. Today we continue using rocks to practice subtraction (How many rocks in my hand?).
Tuesday (09/20):
- Lesson: 2- 4 Introducing Subtraction Expressions and Number Sentences.
- Completed math worksheet 2-4 Introducing Subtraction Expressions and Number Sentences.
- Reinforce: subtraction. Today we continue using rocks to practice subtraction.
- Use Math story to teach subtraction. For example, one student has 5 apples and he eats 2 apples, how many apples does he have now?

Thursday (09/22):
- Lesson: 2-5 Stories About Taking Away.
- Completed math worksheet 2-5 today.
- Review addition: we practice using fingers to count and add two numbers together.
- Practice a worksheet and review addition & subtraction. Some students help other students when they completed their worksheet.
- Reinforce: subtraction. (students are more clear with ___ + ___ = ____ and ___ - ___ = ____. )
